School

This is, in part, what homeschooling looked like for us in the fall. We spent most of our time outside together as a group. During the winter we tried to be outside as much as possible but it was downright cold and so we found other fun ways to be together. These are just a few pictures, so many more and so many more stories and thoughts about this adventure. It is a constant evolution, constant reflection and evaluation of our philosophies and practices. I have so much more to say about it but for now I will let the pictures speak for me.
our first day- scavenger hunt on bikes

using maps and a compass to find our way

making a map for the preschoolers

the woods

the highway bridge

hay bales at the paw paw patch

tests of strength and curiosity

collecting  and dispersing seed

thinking about compassion, inclusion, how we want to treat people

a scavenger hunt and some drawing/writing/reflection time

planning a clean up day at a nearby park

Science at a local museum- dry ice in liquid = sublimation

making rockets

    3. HI Robb! Thanks for your comment. I know we have some big kids now. The kids saw the cuts around the trees in a nearby park and wondered if that weakened the trees enough to be able to push them over! When your book is finished I'd love to actually follow through and organize a place/time for you to read it to a group of homeschoolers.......or maybe we could do it sooner and you could read your first book and talk about your second book and your process????? ideas, ideas, ideas!
